Activate Change Drivers

Activate is a huge youth network in South Africa. I created a short documentary to tell the story of their impact.

HARAMBEE

Harambee Youth Employment Accelerator is a non-profit social enterprise that is challenging the narrative of youth unemployment in South Africa. It is one of SA’s largest youth platforms with over 3 million beneficiaries.

stiff pap

Stiff Pap is a South African electronic music duo fusing Kwaito, Gqom and Hip Hop to create their own unique sound. They are continuously growing in popularity in SA and are more recently making big waves globally as well.

Empatico

Empatico is a New York based, free online learning tool for educators that connects students with their peers around the world to build relationships and deepen empathy.

Year Beyond: Yebo Academy

Year Beyond is a major program in the Western Cape Youth Development Strategy that connects young people without jobs to work opportunities nationwide. The Yebo Academy is a part of this program and trains mentors and leaders in underserved areas. It helps Year Beyond by preparing good mentors for the program in local communities.

ALX Africa

ALX, a transformative organisation with a mission to drive empowerment across the African continent, is dedicated to providing the tools, knowledge, and resources necessary for Africans to thrive in the rapidly evolving digital economy.

University of Cape Town

After the severe drought in Cape Town in 2018, researchers from ACDI at UCT worked with the Western Cape Water Caucus and The Environmental Monitoring Group on a research project to understand how people are affected by climate change. This will help in creating specific ways to adapt to climate change in the area.

Umuzi

Umuzi works with leading employers to equip talented young people with the scarce creative & digital skills they need to access high-value careers and thrive in the fourth industrial revolution.

Smartstart

SmartStart is an early learning social franchise with a network of trained and licensed practitioners (SmartStarters) who implement the same evidence-based programme all across South Africa.

YOUTH CAPITAL

Youth Capital aims to catalyse a South Africa where all young people can access earning opportunities. I worked with them on a few storytelling projects to support this aim.

Gun Free SA

Every day 23 people are killed with a gun in South Africa. We have a major problem with gun violence. Gun Free SA has been fighting gun violence for 25 years, mostly focussing on ensuring safer gun laws.

Teachers CAN is a dedicated organization that is actively working towards building a strong and supportive community for teachers across South Africa who are passionate about creating positive change within the education system.

Photography

Photography was my introduction into creativity. It helped me discovered the magic of storytelling without words, using light and composition to convey emotions and inspire others to see the world through a new perspective.
